August 7, 2001. This is a photo of one of the buildings which is now part of the Guangdong Folk Handicrafts Gallery in Guangzhou. Guangzhou is in Guangdong province. These buildings were originally known as Chen's Ancestral Temple and were built around 1890 during the Qing (pronounced roughly as "ching") dynasty. The building rooflines are almost entirely decorated with wood, stone and brick carvings, and copper and iron frescoes and castings.
