Johanna Jonasson Moline's obituary states: "She came to this country in July, 1889, directly to Courtland, where she endured all the toil of early pioneer life."
I have not been able to locate any of the ship records associated with her emigration from Sweden. She likely went from Sweden to England and then on to America.
The screen shot below is from Ancestry.com; it is very likely the right person, but I can't be sure without locating other documents. The patronymic last name was used by women, but when emigrating, names were less predictable. Her father's name was Jonas Jonsson. The names that she might have used in Sweden or on travel documents include "Johanna Jonsson," "Johanna Jonsdotter," "Johanna Jonasdotter," "Johanna Jönsson." Her birthday was 8 September 1862, and the estimated date below is based on her age given on the travel document. She was born in Stenbrohult Parish, Kronobergslan, Småland, Sweden, so that matches as well. Lastly, the destination of Norway, Kansas is just 7 miles from Courtland, Kansas. Indication that she was not travelling with a spouse is the fact that she is also listed as the "Principal Person."
I tried to locate the original document from which this information was taken, but have not yet been successful.
